The Meri Meri story began in 1985 when Meredithe Stuart-Smith, the brand’s founder, equipped with a pair of scissors, some pens and a bunch of glitter, created her first handmade cards.
Named after her childhood nickname, Meri Meri, Meredithe first sold her glittery wares in local LA stationery stores, before heading to the National Stationery Show in New York in 1987, where the Meri Meri adventure took flight. Now based in the UK town of Cheltenham, Meri Meri's collections are made by a dedicated and creative team of twenty designers and artworkers.
With a dash of imagination, a sprinkle of glitter and lots of charm, Meri Meri creates collections of fantastical party ware, stationery and decorative wonders including everything from party hats, birthday candles and party plates to garlands, mobiles and much more.
“I’ve always loved the process of coming up with an idea and bringing it to life. Imagination is freedom,” Meredithe Stuart-Smith, Meri Meri founder and president.
